Street Children Live in Danger

What you feel if you are kicked out from your home by your family because of poverty?

Every day we always meet street children at traffick light. They are singing, selling, or just playing and does not get enough attention from around. They are homeless and trying to survive day by day.

Based on data of national newspaper JawaPos.com, The number of street children in Indonesia continues to increase. Currently, the number have reached 4.1 million children, recorded by social ministries. Social Minister Khofifah Indar Parawansa said the number of street children increase100% compared to 2015.

The conditions of their daily live are full of danger and violence. They often experince traffic accidents, exploitation, child trafficking, and sexual violence. It is happened because the lack attention of the government. They must fulfill their own needs, such as food, drink, and medicine by singing or begging. They have no home to rest, no water to drink, no food to eat, and do not have the mother's love. They shared love and money together to survive in the hard life.

I made research about street children when still college student and live closely with them about 1 year. I had one sad true story about them. At that night, one of them was suffering a critical condition. He was sick and experience convulsions at 2 am. His friends tried to take him to a clinic that open 24 hours. But, he was rejected because he was a homeless. At the end, he died at the dark night. That is the street children real live, one by one die before growing up because of dehydration, hunger, critical illness, violenceor traffic accidents.

If you have ONE BIG PROBLEM that too hard to solve, then ask to yourself, is your problem bigger than theirs?

I'm here to call you to join to my organization HCF (Homeless Care Foundation) and let's care the homeless children together. They really need your love and support.
